Festive Poppy

Christmas window decoration, using my Tower of London Poppy, and a little robin we bought in Cape Town, made from scrap metal. Along with a Father Christmas candle I have had for a few years.( Too nice to light!)
and a lantern which holds a tea light.

I have spent the afternoon baking a very sumptuous chocolate cake for our eldest grandson R.
 It is his 19th birthday today.
Now at university, and has an chemistry exam today.Not the best of birthday presents!
Hope the cake will be a better surprise!
We are taking it round on our way over to see friends, who have invited us for dinner tonight.
I understand he is off into Leeds with his girlfriend to celebrate.
Hope they have a great time!
