Mixed blessing

Snow, so much appreciated by the weatherfrog that is my hubby as the snow pack that is hopefully building up over the winter is crucial for the water supply in the next summer, is keeping me inside of the house. Walking with the crutch on slippery ground is too dangerous still.
But it looks pretty, lets Maggie sleep deeper and lets me appreciate the kind neighbors on the other side of the street. When the former owner died in 2011, we missed him a lot and wondered whether we would find similarly nice neighbors again. We have been very lucky, I must say.
It is good to start the day by thinking of all your blessings and be thankful for it. Doing the same before you fall asleep at night keeps you happy and healthy :-)
