#InternationalMountainDay with #IMPACTPakistan

Today’s BLIP falls on International Mountain Day.  To mark this, we thought we would share with you the important work of our sister organisation, IMPACT Pakistan.  IMPACT Pakistan runs 16 Mother and Baby clinics, spread throughout some of the most remote and mountainous locations in Muzaffarabad and Mansehra districts, rural Pakistan.  


Accessibility and affordability of healthcare services is a major concern in these mountainous areas, and IMPACT Pakistan provides mothers and their babies a safe place for childbirth, ante and postnatal care, as well as general healthcare treatment for the local population.


All 16 clinics have provided good quality safe motherhood, child health and general treatment services to 129,565 men, women and children since 2008 when the programme began.
