Day 5

Strasbourg (France) - Freiburg (Germany)

54 miles.

Spent a lovely morning in sweltering Strasbourg (I bought a hat) before crossing the border into Germany - a new Country for us both. Headed to Freiburg on the recommendation of friends (Booky suggested this may be out of our way a tad - more on this later).

Great campsite, again near a Lake (this one is called Silbersee) where we cooled off amongst the ducks and then had the strange experience of watching yet more football - Germany v Italy as the only non-Germans. You will know by now that they lost - we beat a hasty retreat before the end ( cheering very quietly - we were routing for Italy).
