Unchained coffee shop

Coffee shops have sprung up on every High Street, and most are franchises belonging to one or other nationwide chain. So it is an unusual pleasure when you find an individual tea and coffee shop with some character, as a friend and I did in this delightful little place not too far away from home.

It is family owned, serves delicious home-baked cakes, and has an eclectic mix of comfy old fashioned furniture which was mostly sourced on Ebay. I love the cabinets crammed with traditional china. They have been recycled from an old-style pharmacy.

A great find, this place. We'll be back.
