The things I do for blip (part 2)
Had an idea for Derelict Sunday but only just had the chance to get out.
Climbed most way to the top of the Dinorwig Slate Quarry, in Llanberis, North Wales, to get this shot of one of the derelict quarry buildings, with part of the Snowdonia Mountain range in the background.
The quarry is full of such wonderful treasures and is attached to the Llanberis Slate Museum which is fascinating place to visit if you our interested in our industrial history. Entrance is free, which in itself is a rarity, and is a fab day out. I have put loads of pics on my
Flickr if you would care to peruse.
Remember Derelict Sunday 8 is up and running and will remain so until Sunday at midnight. It is SDG92's last week of hosting and from DS9, I will be flying solo, so keep them coming!
