Sound check

Mum continues to make good progress and has been fairly well behaved. She is enjoying reading on the Kindle which is now propped up on a small bean bag.

Tonight Julie and I went to hear the Brothers Gillespie, a very talented folk duo. They were launching a CD and played to a capacity audience in the Great Hall at Hexham Abbey. Time keeping is not their forte and the concert started and ended late. They are consumate musicians and we heard several different instruments played to a high standard.

The image is from when they were doing sound checks before the concert. I do find all the microphones, stands and sound gubbins to be very distracting from the music so I have to ignore it as best I can.

They were sellling CDs but said that anyone who was short of money could put in whatever they could afford. You don't often hear that.
