Sending mail isn?t easy here. The only place to buy a postcard seems to be the man periodically on the beach who has a blue plastic washing up bowl full of them and packets of peanuts. You can?t buy stamps. You have to write the letter or postcard first then take it to the post office so they can read it / sniff it / turn it over and over and then stamp it themselves. Post office hours make it difficult to get there if you are working. Some of my UK mail is sent to my work and some I have to go and queue for myself, in a vast room filled with huge mahogany tables, men stamping hundreds of letters with metal stamps, their arms going up and down like pistons.
