Diversion

I was travelling from Gateshead to Skipton but met almost stationary traffic just north of Scotch Corner. Googlemaps indicated the next section of the A1 would mean over an hours delay so I took the recommended diversion via Richmond, Leyburn, Kettlewell and Grassington. Lots of the roads were narrow though deserted but the views were stupendous. There were some scary moments when I had to drive through water stretching right across the road and several inches deep. However all was well and I arrived with a delay of only 30minutes having been enjoying God's amazingly beautiful countryside as the light began to fade.
