The Christmas string course

A "string" orienteering course is for young children who cannot read a map but still get the excitement of running through the woods without an adult - provided of course that their parents trust them to be able to follow a piece of string!
Ightham Common:-   it did not rain,  bracken was a lovely golden colour but it is HILLY.  Glad my duty as string course photographer, left me time  only to do the short course - advertised as 3.6km but my pedometer is showing 8km and 11,800 steps. I must have got lost.
