Moules Frites

I've been looking forward to my Rotary club's December social for ages.

We had booked a place in Edinburgh, but on account of transport problems caused by the Forth Road Bridge being closed for repair, we switched it to the Wee Restaurant in North Queensferry.

It was really excellent. Food. Wine. Service. Ambience. Price. The Blip is my main course. The portion of mussels looks quite small but was just right for the rich sauce (cream, onion, bacon & pine nuts) and as part of a 3 course lunch.

I'll be back.

It is located almost on the shore of the Firth of Forth between the two existing bridges. The extra shot is the view which punches you in the face as you leave.
