Accident?

These bollards are in the car park outside the Emergency Department.  They are there to protect the MRI scanner, but are (technically at least) designed to be lowered or removed to allow lorries to get closer to the building if necessary to service/mend the scanner.

As you can see, they have clearly been subject to an "accident".  They have been replaced before, and it seems that no sooner do they put new bollards than some moron body runs into them again!  I suppose they are serving the function they were designed for - at least no-one is running into the MRI building itself - which would no doubt result in much more costly damage.
