Doggie Graduation Day

Blake is now an official PALS (Paws as Loving Support) service/facility dog. with Dana as his official handler.

We barely made it to the theatre at the school where the ceremony took place because of a marijuana judging event at the county fairgrounds. Because there were at least two dozen dogs in the room, we were instructed to wave our hands in the air instead of clapping…

The dogs will go to schools and libraries where anxious children will read to them and the dogs won't tell them they made a mistake. There is a group of dogs who hang out at the airport and others who can visit patients in hospitals and retirement homes.. They are lots of different breeds..

Following a slide show about the dogs in Blake's litter, who were this year's graduates, we repaired to the lobby for refreshments and congratulations.

It was one of the quietest and most well behaved graduations I've ever attended.
