Vivre la France...and a little Croatia, too

These are some ornaments I picked up during my travels in France.....naturally, there has to be an elephant doing the can-can. The whole tree is strung with Mardi Gras beads from good times at Carnival in New Orleans.....very good times, so I'm reminded. Good for me, at any rate. The little metal bell is from Croatia; my grandmother brought some bells and glass balls with her when they emigrated to the US. They are hung on the tree every year. Although I never knew her, she died when my mother was only 20, I'm named after her. So I wander the earth with her DNA, her name and her Croatian ornaments....isn't that a kick! It would have been nice to have met at least once.
