Derelict Sunday - Damaged Fungi

Lovely frosty morning - very cold but no wind so it was nice to be out.

I found a small patch of fungi under some trees on the outskirts of the village and they were a new type to me. I had never seen them before. There were quite a few of them, including several that had been knocked down. This one was partially attached still and you can see the tubular stems quite clearly. I have included an extra today of one that appeared to be intact.

Coincidentally, I made two batches of soup using a couple of large boxes of mushrooms I picked up cheap at the supermarket on Thursday - it did not contain any of this fungus!
