Shieldhall Tunnel Project - No.1
Taken in a frosty Queen's Park, Glasgow, this morning. -2C overnight, icy pavements and roads. I like the dots of colour as the children run along.
Mining consolidation work in preparation for the 3.1 mile long tunnel from Queen's Park to Shieldhall, which will help to tackle flooding issues. It will be built using a specially designed tunnel boring machine, and will be the biggest storm water storage tunnel in Scotland.
I expect to post several Blips over the next while as work progresses in the Park. From 18 January traffic restrictions will begin around the Shawmoss, Crossmyloof and Titwood Road area. I predict some traffic chaos.
A slightly slower pace today, as we completed our Christmas decorating, and got a bit more planning done for the Festive Season.
Words from Psalm 27:13-14 during this season of Advent -
"I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord."
