Bizarre

When you think about it, chopping a perfectly lovely tree down, putting it inside your house and decorating the hell out of it is a bizarre custom. However, it's a custom we embrace thoroughly in this house. The mantra is more is ...more.  There is no theme...it's a miss mash of collected decorations over many years, most with a little story or memory attached.  Decorating is accompanied by music. ..Louis, Ella, Frank, Elvis to name a few regulars.  It takes us hours and it's great fun.  The fairy went AWOL last year, but try as she might, she couldn't get away with it this year and she's up there - 9 foot high looking down on all the gaudiness!

This year we followed it with Episode III of Star Wars.
We're trying to get the girls up to speed before the new movie comes out. However, against daughter no.1's sage advice, we started at Episode 1 instead of 4 and now we know all the secrets that you shouldn't know till later
It was a mistake I've had to admit to.  No going back though!

Frosty and cold all day today for the first time this Winter. Still no snow.
