I felt a bit low today after our visit to the specialist. We spent over 2 hours at the hospital,seeing the specialists assistant,then the specialist himself. A dietician and then lastly the phlebotomist,so Elodie could have blood taken. The upshot,another prescription for steroids,cream and a bath additive. I had really hoped to avoid the steroids and just felt a bit that all our efforts had been in vain. Our problem now though is that Elodie will scratch not just because she's itchy but also for attention,and as a habit. It's a bit stressful to be honest. I'm really not sure how we're going to break the cycle.
