Christmas Card 13 - Hibernation

Simon had never liked Winter and, after the windfall, when he could afford to stop working, he simply spent the Winter in bed. He had a supply of food and drink in his room so he hardly had to leave at all and, whilst he had TV and radio, he mostly just slept.

We know so much about Simon's habits because the BBC Natural History Unit had managed to hide both normal and infra-red cameras in his room for their award-winning series "The Life of Man".
