The Battle of Brougham

... survived again today with Eamont Bridge still closed it was once again time to sit in the rush hour tailback on the A66. The blip though was taken on my way up to Court Thorn where it was a much gentler afternoon with hints of weak winter sunlight. Tomorrow's a training day in Carlisle ... strategic planning in place ... let the battle of Carlisle commence .... after the battle of Brougham, that is. I feel so sorry for those living in what is usually the backwater of Brougham but which is now the main thoroughfare for heavy traffic unsuited to it's lanes and hall archway.
