Himatangi..........

A high tide meant there was little hard sand for vehicle access along the beach this morning. Instead, we walked through the sand dunes to the beach and were greeted with incredibly strong wind and flying sand until we reached the safety of the water with no sand blowing seaward.
 
This is our last visit to the beach as we start our journey south this afternoon. We intend spending one more night along the coast, but further south and nearer to Wellington.
We have loved our time at Himatangi Beach and look forward to a longer visit sometime in the future.
 
I was really delighted to wake and find yesterday’s blip of Poppy as a high key image sitting high on the first of the popular pages. So many thanks to you all for the stars and hearts that put her there, also for the many lovely comments. Each is very much appreciated.
 
No extra photos today, but I will be uploading two blips which will bring me a little closer to being up-to-date again.
