Two of my favorite subjects: flowers and butterflies!

The butterfly here is a monarch. The orange hue on her wings looks darker than the hue of the flower in this photo, since the flower is more vibrant. When you look at a monarch against a more neutral background, the hue of their wings gets much brighter in appearance. It's a fun test on the way we perceive color
