HAPPY EASTER
Within hours of Aberdeen switching on its new Stargate
the giant white rabbits started coming through.
We now have five!
They seem to be content in Union Terrace Gardens
but the grass is getting rather thin
and the ground is starting to turn to mud.
Not to mention the fact
that two of them look decidedly pregnant.
The Council vermin control officer did not look happy.
Still it makes a change from white elephants and flying pigs.
Business organisation Aberdeen Inspired has been working with Australian artist Amanda Parer to bring her striking light installation 'Intrude' to the city. The installation, which features a collection of giant inflatable illuminated rabbits which stand up to seven-metres tall, has been revealed within Union Terrace Gardens and will take up residence within the city centre greenspace until January 15.
