Christmas Starts Here

I had a request for more mince pies from my daughter and granddaughter so made another six dozen. It was her school Christmas Concert this evening, she sang and played the uke and clarinet. I was intrigued by one piece of music, described by her music teacher as like a sort of alarm clock. In C is a minimalist piece by Terry Riley. Variations of it can last up to an hour and a half. It was written fifty years ago when Riley was interested in having mystical experiences and using marijuana and LSD.


We the audience got to our feet and belted out Hark The Herald and the finale to the concert was All I Want For Christmas Is You. Perfect. :)
