Always Smiling

Christmas time is perfect for those days when it's a challenge to find a blipfoto, either because of bad weather, lack of time or lack of inspiration. Every tree and every ornament tell a story.

This happy little mouse is an ornament I inherited from my mother. I think he was one of her favourites and he always had a prominent place on her tree. She loved him because even though he was in a dark, lonely box throughout the whole year, he always came out with the same wide cheeky grin on his face, always able to make one smile. She often said that even with all the sadness and disappointment of life, and the terrible tragedies that happen in the world in a year, 'Little Mouse' always comes out at Christmas with a cheerful disposition, ready to celebrate in the midst of it all!

I'm very grateful for fond memories at Christmas!
