Decaying Fungi

An emergency baby sitting day - so we went to Doncaster to help out our daughter who had had a rough night shift.

We took Finlay with us - not sure if he would cope with being left alone yet. Suppose we will have to try sometime.

I took Finlay out for a walk on his own and then went out with our daughter's two dogs. Whilst walking around the old pit top I found quite a few giant puffballs that had 'puffed' and were covered in brown spores - but as it had rained the spores were a soggy mess - they were certainly not going to puff off anywhere.

I also came across this little grouping which must have quite a sight when they were fresh. Now past their best but sill nice to look at all the gills underneath. The low winter sunlight helped to light up underneath.

In the absence of a laptop, I downloaded direct from the camera to the IPad via wifi and then processed with Photoshop Express, which is brilliant.
