Fifteen Minutes of Fame.

You know you’re getting old when you take an afternoon nap, in the morning…

Following on from my out of this world Blip yesterday I thought I’d Blip a birthday present I received today from my youngest. It is a USB spaceman light. Opening his helmet fully will turn on a light.

I thought I’d show him in front of a suitable background. It is a screen shot from the film 2001: A Space Odyessy released in 1968. This scene only lasts for about 2 seconds in the movie just as a spaceship arrives on the Moon. The middle astronaut is my father.

It was Andy Warhol who said everyone would get their 15 minutes of fame. This was my father’s. Unfortunately 14 minutes and 58 seconds of it ended up on the cutting room floor…
