Buffalo Bill

Last time I blipped this (a couple of years ago) it was set against a nice blue sky.  No chance of that today, its a very monochrome day.

I had a couple of things to do today just down from here - including lunch at the excellent Tapa organic bakery - just 2 minutes from this statue.

The statue commemorates the October 1891 visit by Colonel William Cody's Buffalo Bill Wild West Show.  Also starring  Annie Oakley and a bunch of Sioux Braves. The successful show ran until 27 February 1892.

Its also a bit of the tribute to the many cowboys you come across in Glasgow!
