What's with the shades dude? It's getting dark!

I took a cab back from the West End and was held up by a Crossrail Traffic Marshall on Oxford Street.

I realise it's quite good to have a method of moving quickly from east to west in London, however I wish it could be done without demolishing my favourite bits of Soho and Chinatown.
