Winner!
Of a raffle! And what a prize! A tower of treats that included gorgeous gift boxes filled with fudge, toffees, biscuits, caramels and a Panetonne cake! It looks way to good to open, so placed on display at the moment! And the raffle raised £150 for the blind children's charity that my friend and her husband support. He will be running the London marathon next year, and this was part of the fund raising. Despite being only in his forties he almost died last year with not one clot In the lung, but multiple clots.
A final set of lights put up in the Dining Room this evening. Mr L not impressed, but put simply, we will be eating our Christmas dinner in there,so how can the room not have fairy lights?
Son #1 struggling with a dilemma. He has been offered a job which will solve his financial worries, but will of course extract its pound of flesh and also ensure many hours travelling time through commuter land. It's so hard not being able to help.
