Just this once

We had reorganised the large concrete yard and shelter so that Sultan could be kept "quiet" but still have contact to the others and those hopefully not get worked up and endanger the wound healing. This plan meant all three would be restricted to concrete.

However it was a lovely day and difficult to justify keeping the two "fit" horses locked in, so we changed the plan, left Sultan in his box which also has a small walk-out next to one of the fields. Its been 16 days since he last had a bath and so it was no surprise he did a few rolls before trying to find a few blades of grass.

In the evening watched the Bavarian TV charity gala they founded in the 90's for children in need. About 60% of the money goes to Bavarian children, the rest to worldwide projects. 100% of the money goes to the projects. Tonight they raised over 6 million Euros. The Brits were there to help : probably not that well known anymore in his homeland, Kirkcaldy, Bob Ross a horn player with the Munich Philarmonic, but tonight with his amusing brass band "Blechschaden" (sheet metal damage literally but German expression of car body damage with no human casulaties in a car accident). Bob Ross is the same vintage as I am (1954), the other Brit was Barry Ryan, six years older but still belting it out even if he did struggle to hit the notes on his 1968 #1 hit "Eloise". A quick look at YouTube to check out how he looked back then ended up in a few hours of nostalgia - now I understand why my parents were horrified with the likes of Roy Wood and Wizzard- hearing the Christmas song on the radio nowadays and you think how tame but then look at the Top of the Pops videos of some of his appearances especially "See my Baby Jive". I think my children would be horrified that one was a fan of the like of The Move, ELO, Wizzard.....(shush... I know these were the harmless ones)
