She was waiting there a long time. So was he. I imagined their respective partners frantically trying to finding the perfect Christmas present, the clock ticking. I hope they didn't get in too much trouble!

I didn't head into Leeds to go shopping, nor for some people watching (although I did grab a few minutes for that and a bit of photography), but to meet Forrest, for a quick catch-up (we've not met up in many weeks) and to see 'Black Mass'.

The film tells an astonishing true story. There is an extraordinary performance from Johnny Depp in the lead role. I'm once again reminded how often truth is stranger than fiction. It was good to be able to turn my head off for an evening,
