Wet and windswept

First thing I saw as I brought my bike out from the alley dividing our house from next door. Next door have the same approach to gardening as we do. Live and let live. We have rampant roses, they have plenty of poppies.

Still no news from the interview last week so I am assuming no news is bad news. Rol has had a couple of responses from teaching agencies, wanting more information about him, and has an interview with JCP on Friday to see if they will allow him to claim JSA.

On the plus side, my radio interview last night about my forthcoming solo exhibition was really good fun, the Arts Trail team leader has designed a lovely poster for me and Marzano's (the venue for my exhibition) has agreed that their grand piano can be used by whoever I can find to play it at a 'meet the artist' (jeez!) session between 6pm and 8pm on 21st July - it's not going to be a free drinks and vol au vents do, as I don't have that sort of budget - and I have just the person in mind.

Finally, I've invited two friends and their children to join me and my colleagues in our 'royal box' to watch the cheese grater Olympic Torch pass by tomorrow evening. I believe little Lucy is going to wear her princess dress ;-)
