Thai silk

We visited Jim Thompson 's house. He was an American who fell in love with Thailand and moved there in 1945 and is credited with having revived the Thai art of silk weaving. His house was stunning.
From one silk cocoon you get a mile of thread and my blip is of raw dyed silk ready for weaving.
