This wooden apple trinket box was a pressy from me to my Auntie Zélie brought some foreign parts when I was at sea – some fifty years ago.
               
I couldn’t see until I downloaded the shots to the pooter that the change in grain and colour in the lid has lined up with the curve of the bottom giving an odd effect.
