Christmas Lunch

Today was Christmas Lunch day at Lunch Club. I am so grateful I was well enough to help properly - it was very hectic. We got to church at about 9.00, decorated the room and cooked and cooked! Served 49 lunches today - turkey, pigs in blankets, mash, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, yorkies, stuffing and the dreaded Brussels, with gallons of gravy, followed by Christmas pud and cream, washed down with shloer, then a cup of tea. Then up to the church for a carol and Christingle service, followed by hot mince pies and another cuppa. Pretty busy - plus we don't have a dish washer so it really was all hands on deck. It is now 8.30 in the evening and I am in bed!
