According to PEW, from 2009 to 2014 around a million Mexicans returned to Mexico, while only 870,000 crossed the border into the U.S., resulting in net loss of 140,000 Mexican nationals. Nevertheless, there are some US presidential candidates who are convinced of the value of spending a few billion dollars to erect a wall to keep these fine people out.
