Basel, Switzerland

We've had a lovely short trip to Switzerland. We just came for the Christmas market but we managed to fit a lot more in.

Today we visited the zoo which was a fabulous place...the aquarium was worth the entrance fee on it's own. To turn a corner and see Emperor penguins is a moment I'll never forget.

Basel is full of great shops and places to eat but we wanted to spend our last evening at the markets and supping mulled wine.
