Dinner Hour.....
Dinner Hour.
The plan for today is to go an buy some remaining Christmas presents!( are we there yet..nearly)
Whats in fashion one year is different the next and new the year after!( decisions.... decisions)
Traversed the metropolis to a satellite Retail parks,
But its not got any slides, swings, or roundabouts for that matter! Parking is tight so I berth the van at one end, exiting onto the grass!
Branded shops with branded goods for a branded Christmas!
Deaf inition of good brand!
Memorable
Distinctive
Sufficiently different from marks already used by competitors
Not descriptive of the nature of the goods or service's
Free from any negative or undesirable associations
Yep that's Christmas in a nutshell!
The only good bit is you might get a present that you want, not need,
it might be free no strings attached!
Or
Is it just a Happy meal with a toy if your Good!
JOB DONE!
Being close to feeding time, visits one of the one stop shop food emporiums, sandwich an apple for lunch( don't like coffee from a machine, expensive for what you get and No View!
River side quays on the way home me thinks!
A little corner, in the mayhem of a busy port, riverside location ringside seat and a View!
The only Restriction today is Headroom 2 meters
So the "Little Grey Van" with its "Little Grey Nomad" nips under easily!
Kettle on!
Coffee milk in the mug,
Sandwiches open, Apple at hand
Kindle on!
Radio off
Window open!
Blue sky if only its just a little grey today, tide traversing inward, clouds murky, the little bit of sun dancing on the nearly glass like river, a small flock of shit hawks murder the remains of a previous occupants diner left overs.
These rapture recycle machines finish in no time.
Kettles boiled.
Dinner hour starts at about 1130 to 1400 hrs with various visitors in different modes of transportation stop off for a lunch!
Sun this time of the year is always low the glare bounces of the mono chromed water.
2 small pilot boats make they way lazily towards Spurn Point, guarding more floating containers through the network of red and green buoys to park up in concrete birthing bays
Christmas in box in a box just like Rushing dolls!
Sandwiches, apple, devoured put in the rubbish bin near the fence, it quite warm in the late autumnal sunshine( winter starts on the 21st December). I
In the distance the scream sound of an ambulance races it way through the traffic of the arterial route back into the city, large containers perform a par de deux attached to large fork lift trucks such grace, such accuracy, clunk and they down.
A belly full of food and fresh coffee has a subtle effect on the eyes, some call it 20 winks or a power nap or even a close inspection of the inner eye lips
Yer..... what ever!
When I comes too!
The white van next to me had changed to a Red car with mac Donald's, fries and coke on the dash board.
Fisherman at the end of the quay re baits his hook casts out, settles back in his chair on the leewards side of his car murdering a chocolate brownie, washed down with a swig of his rather large mug of tea.
I stretch look at my watch its 1400 hrs its time to drive home just in time for afternoon coffee break.......
Its a tough life this Christmas shopping!
I wish it was Christmas every day.
