A walk in the past
Today I took a (very short) walk to somewhere I had certainly not visited since, latest, 1956. I can be so precise because it was a place traversed only with my grandmother (for locals, walking from Saltaire to Dick Hudson's, via Shipley Glen).
Standing about useless while Mini mate Mick fixed the cooling/heating on Mini, was chilly despite the mild weather so I took a walk to warm up. The spot blipped is only 10 minutes away.
The beck pictured has many happy memories of frequent picnics with my mother, a little further downstream. Younger brother Bob, whose birthday is today, always fell in the water and Mum built a fire to dry out his clothes.
