Silhouettes when our bodies finally go
I pass this sight every day when I walk back from classes.
I don't understand how the leaves left their silhouettes on the pavement. It's not something I've ever seen before.
I have this story in my head that they were lovers who died together.
They blew fervently through the air, entwined in each other...
The wind picked them up, burning orange and yellow in the sky.
And then they rested on the pavement and finally died.
They never saw each other again.
