It's Christmas Time
Less then 24 hours after getting off a plane into Barcelona from Cairo (via Rome) we are once more at the place of aerial comings and goings for a flight to London for a special family celebration tomorrow. People are certainly on the move and I notice a lot of them in Europe are sneezing! Softies!
Our journey last night was aided by a giant lapse in security. The transfer bus from the plane after it landed in Rome took us to the terminal of our departure to Barcelona. Normally, we have to go to the non-European arrival terminal and do an excruciatingly long security check and passport control routine before a long bus transfer to the 'European' side of things. But not tonight - we and 200 Egyptians strolled into Europe without so much as a 'How's your father?’ Don't tell Donald, for goodness sake!
