Festival International de Jazz de Montréal

Taking a stroll on the site of the Jazz Festival just as it is opening. This is the area of the kiosques and of children playgrounds with a giant piano you play by jumping on the keys. It is not full yet at that point. I wanted to see the opening with Rufus Wainwright which was a fabulous family affair with guests playing. But work the next day made me go home. I wish they opened on a Friday instead of a Thursday evening. Same with the closing. Work next day. grrrr...

For the festival, the alien looking lampposts were coloured along with the Place des Arts building. Remember those alien eyes?
