Lit.......

I don't know if this slang term is used elsewhere other than in the U.S., but here it means "under the influence of alcohol".  I thought the word somewhat appropriate since not only is this huge tree---which stands in front of City Hall---totally full of lights (& therefore lit up), but it IS "under the influence", although it's under the influence of CHRISTMAS, not the alcoholic kind of influence!   At least I don't THINK there was any alcohol involved, although now that I'm thinking of it, the tree WAS swaying a bit while I was taking it's picture!!  :))    TGIF
