Small Faux Tree

We've always always always gone out into fields and woods around our house to cut down a Red Cedar for our Christmas tree. But this year, what with one thing and another, enthusiasm for such a venture sort of dwindled. Since I had stuck a fake tree - that The Husband had found a year or two ago - in the corner of the living room as a place holder, it seems that now it's going to be this year's tree. As #2 Son, who usually is the one who helps me secure a *live* tree said "no grandkids... why bother?" Indeed.
