On the Surface

I am writing this on the 18th and posting it for the 17th.

This was a fish I had not seen before; I like the expression on his face. I thought he was sweet. There was a whole school of them near the surface. 

This is from yesterday at Black Rock,  Kaanapali. We went out around the point where my friend said not to go....but we couldn't see anything in the area where we used to snorkel because the teenagers were jumping from the top of the rock; the water was all murky and I didn't want to be jumped on!! Anyway, we did fine; we didn't get caught in a rip tide; we didn't get hit by a tiger shark; we didn't get pushed into the rocks!  I suppose I wouldn't have gone alone or just with my hubby......but the 18 year old grandson is tall and strong and very persuasive; actually, it didn't take much persuasion to get me to go to the better snorkeling.
