THE day

that our son arrived!

We got to pick him up at the airport after 10 am. So it was a very early morning for him. And even earlier for my dad who took him to the airport in Helsinki. My dad had woken up 3:30 and Niklas at 4:30. I woke up at 5 (local time) when I got the text that he was on the plane and the plane was on time. After that I just couldn't relax back to sleep. So summa summarum, we are all pretty tired today.

We took few slow walks (via Avenida Finlandia of course ;-) ) with the dogs to see around, ate, cleaned the pool and have been just hanging around. Tomorrow we plan to hike to the peak of Mijas mountain. According to the internet: "there is a constant increase of about 10 degrees over a stretch of 5 km.  You start off at 410 meters above sea level at the water factory and end up in 915 meters." If the weather is good you can see all the way to Africa from the top. I hope we are ready!

In the thumbnail all the Salmiakki and licorice and xylitol bubblegum we got. What a loot! It was contributed by many! Actually not all of it fit Niklas' bag, so some of it was left behind. This is so totally awesome. And people know us well :-)
