John of Nepomuk
Not as famous as his colleague Nicholas who is currently quite busy, he is actually one of Bavarias patron saints. However I don't remember seeing a statue or painting in his honour before.
Blip was taken in Ottobeuren after the dog walk when visiting the nearby butchers to collect the weekly dog food rations. The butcher cooks a batch of dog food once a week but the supply is limited. Being regular "human meat" customers we are lucky to be on the list but very often don't get the quantity we need, so Angie tops up with extra raw scraps and bones the butcher may have.
However Angie still laying flat so it was down to me to get the supply. Also got myself a small amount of turkey breasts for dinner. By evening Angie was up for a few hours and to my great joy, she thought she might try risking a bite to eat, so out with the wooden spoon and did a sort of turkey fricasse but as light as possible.
The unseasonal warm weather in the UK is also very present here. No chance of a white Christmas and Santa will need to fit wheels on the sledge. I hope for the poor folks in Cumbria the next forecasted warnings don't turn out to be as bad as predicted. Perhaps praying to John of Nepomuk may help, he is the patron saint for the protection from floods.
