The Bridge over the River Kwai

In building the Death Railway during The Second World War approximately 15,000 prisoners of war lost their life and 100,000 Malay Thai and Burmese civilians.
Seeing the statistics and visitng another war cemetery today it makes me realise what a lucky generation we have been.
