Welcome to Wellington

Up early, did plenty of last minute jobs so the house was ready for K to enjoy whiilst I'm away.  Of course, left a little later than planned but that's why I'd written in extra time to my plan.  Arrived at ferry in good time and the crossing was uneventful, largely to me spending most of it asleep!  The drive off the ferry took me through part of the port area including a number of distinctly shabby, derelict buildings - a very odd kind of a welcome to the capital I thought, though I did rather enjoy the old red brick.  

Decided on staying at a 'new' place at Evans Bay - pleasant and spacious, though plenty of other 'vanners staying there.

So, here I am - on holiday :)  Yay!
